DVDproject in Architect leaving video scenes black

Hi. I use Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 10.0 to create movie clips that I save to my hard drive, usually as AVCHD (.m2t) The video and sound on these when I am done are great.
Then I pull them into DVD Architect Studio 5.0 and set up my scenes and menus there to create my DVD. I have been using this method for years with great success. Until about the last year.
Now… when I PREVIEW my project in DVD Architect, it looks just wonderful, but after I “Make DVD”, there are sections in the final product where the video is black (the whole screen is black) but I can hear the audio… and other sections where I can see the video, but the audio is muted. Again, when I look at these sections directly in the software, it is fine. It must be somewhere in preparing the project to my hard drive that the issue occurs. Has anyone had this similar problem and how can I solve it? Thanks!

Try uninstalling DVD Arch, and if you believe in the tooth fairy :) clean the registry with CCleaner or the like, and reinstall.

If that doesn't work, try to think of any changes that may have taken place since it did work, to suggest things to try next.

If you have a C: drive image backup from halcyon days, then restore to that, after making sure that you do a current backup so that you can restore any data you forgot to backup separately.

If you don't have a C: drive image, make sure you do once you have got things working again.

Your are importing AVCHD into Architect to make a DVD?
Don't do that.

You need separate, compliant DVD Architect audio and video streams from the Vegas templates. Instructions abound with but a simple search of this forum.
