My son's video wedding was copied onto DVDs by the videographer.... 8 of them.!!!.I will have the pleasure to edit them!!!..........
I wanted to watch them.. but there is no sound... In Explorer I can see the avi, wav, and 2ndStream.wav for each sequences... in windows media player I can see the video, but not the sound track.... How do I bring up the sound... ????
Thanks anyone.....

It sounds like the videographer separated the video and audio. Have you tried bringing the avi file into VMS, placing it on the video track then bring the wav file to the audio track? If that works, you could render it to a new avi file combing the video and audio. Or just leave them as is but group them in the timeline to edit.

It's possible the 2ndStream.wav file is either the left or right audio channel if the wav file is mono. Or it could be auido from a second recording device used during the ceremony.

Then I would say it's time to go back to the videographer and ask him/her what's up.

If you're double clicking on the wav file and you get no sound in WMP, then the videographer goofed on the files and they'll need to fix it (give you new discs).

You may want to ask him/her why the audio is separated from the video. Even if there is audio from a second recording device, the primary audio should be able to included in the AVI video file. I'd ask them to give it to you that way.

What does the statement of work say in the contract you (or your son) signed with the videographer?
