DVDs with 2 rendered files

I have a twenty minute video I made today and a sixty minute video from a while back that are both rendered with the same video and audio settings. How can I put them both on one DVD? I've tried just dropping them into the timeline like I'd do in Vegas or ACID and the second one just goes on top of the first one. It seems I'm unable to drag it to the right of the first file to increase the overall project length so that they both can fit in the same timeline. I'm mean I know they'll "fit" on one DVD but I must be missing something in my setup to get them there. Anyone out there? Can you help me make this DVD?

Do you want them to play as two separate clips or are you trying to combine them into a single playable movie?

If you're trying to combine them, the wisest thing to do is to edit them together in Vegas and then export the final move from Vegas as a DVD-ready MPEG. You can then use that as your source file for creating your DVD.

Remember, DVD Architect is a DVD/BluRay authoring program. It's really not an editor. So it should be used in the final disc and menu creation phase of your project. It's really not best for assembling your video's pieces in. It's meant to supplement, not replace, Vegas.

I was hoping I could just put the both of them on the same disc as two seperate clips one after the other so the person that I'm sending this to would be able to watch the short film I shot and edited today (20 minutes) then when that plays out he can watch the 60 minute film from last year which is my band in concert. I thought possibly a "menu-based" DVD versus a "Single Movie" would allow me to do that but I couldn't figure it out.

Create a new project with a blank menu. In the explorer, right-click on your first movie and select Insert Media. Repeat for your second movie.

If you want the movies to play in sequence, right-click on the first movie in the menu-tree pane (top-left pane) and select Navigate Into. In the top-right pane headed Media Properties, select End Action and set Destination to point to the second movie

The key point with DVDA is that you don't add clips by dragging onto the timeline. You can drag into the workspace (preview window) or into the project overview window at top right. To learn more check Help>Show me how.

If you don't need a menu why not just burn the two consecutive clips (events) from the Vegas timeline? You can insert markers and the DVD player will respond via Forward and Backward buttons.
