I had Epic in Vegas 9 but dropped it once Vegas 10 was out because the way V10 handled the DSLR footage was just great and I never went back to Epic.

The reason I choose Epic then was that I was hoping that some day, non-linear editor would handle DSLR footage and the beauty behind Epic is that the migration from V9 to V10 was flawless and all you had to do was delete your Epic proxy folder and move on with your .veg from V9 Epic projects onto V10.

Mind you that you don't need to delete the Epic proxy folder, only I did to gain on storage.
