I had problems with directx plugins and Vegas 6 not detecting them.
I installed the demo of Vegas 4 to see if the plugins were showing, and yes, they were detected by Vegas.
Further investigation, showed me that Vegas 4 had a DXCache entry in the registry that Vegas 6 was not creating.
I installed several times Vegas 6.0a to see if it would create that entry, and nothing happened. Today, the same with 6.0b.
The only solution was to export the entry from Vegas 4 and edit it changing all the references of Vegas 4 with the path to Vegas 6. And then reimport it into the registry.
It did work, and now all the directx plugins are showing.
Just wanted to share this fix with anyone with the same problem.
Btw, any thoughts why vegas is not creating such entry?
