Dynamic RAM Preview & connect hd

What should I set the dynamic RAM preview to? I have 2GB. It says 1024 available.

Also, what are the advantages of getting connect hd versus just using the cineform codec that comes with Vegas 6? Thanks! DH

Toward the bottom of this page the major differences between the Connect HD and CineForm codec that ships with Vegas 6.0c are listed.

P.S. Sorry I don't know the best setting for dynamic RAM preview.

The default seems to be working fine for me when capturing with Cineform and converting. The only thing that doesn't (has no effect on performance) when converting only the conversion status monitoring stops changing about 300 meg then when finished it gives the total file size.
