You cannot add markers while capturing. Wish list item - I like the concept.

Oh, definately a WISH LIST item! I was shooting an all day event live production convention with CEO's and Guest Speakers and Teachers and Awards dinner. Afterwards, I had to cut 13 hours down to a 45 minute DVD. Imagine the time an editor could save earmarking one liners that the audience loved at the click of a button! As far as I know, no company is doing this during capture. I love being able to do this when recording in Sound Forge and I have professionally saved countless HOURS of search time. Thank you.

Yes - this would be great.

A work around is to use a audio track and some sort of beep that is a bit hot. I makes a nice wave spike that is easy to view on the audio track. I do this for some of the confereces that I shoot. I am still looking for a device that would make a tone via a remote button.

A way around it is to take a direct audio feed either from the camera or audio board and record a scratch track into Sound Forge. Then match the audio with earmarks in post. The Vegas capture earmark would be icing on the cake! As for the remote button, I would use is an Intern or PA. 8)

I simply take timecode notes.
