When I render my project into the arcitect and click on preview, the audio of my video does not play. What am I doing or not doing wrong?

on the mixer right click and select " show preview fader" then change its output to the output you are using for the main out

What mixer? The audio level in vegas or in architect?

How are you rendering your project into CDA? What format? When you press play in Vegas, do you hear the audio playing back?

I got it figured out. I had to go under "options"...."preferences"...then uncheck the box with "Close the media files when not the active application"
