How can I avoid and multiple echos when I capture a clip? I can capture the clip ok with out echo, but as soon as I open it in the video editor voila! echo echo echo. And it doesn't seem to be limited to Vegas, I have tried Pinnacle and Muvee as well, same echo echo echo.
Does anybody know how to correct this?

Pls help! Thanks!

are you perhaps recording with a microphone open somewhere in the room? i don't understand why you would get any echo at all when digitizing. are you using firewilre to digitize from video tape? please give us more information about your setup.

Sure... There is no microphone attached to my PC. I have a SoundBlaster Audigy2 ZS sound card and from my VHS/DVD player, I plug the audio right into my sound card's input jack.

From the Recording selection, I select Analog Mix (Line in) to use for my recording. I also select my sound card in the Audio menu of the Video Capture Xpress setup.

When I do this, I hear the audio repeated twice when capturing the video for some reason.
