Edit DVDA mpeg files with AC3

I shall do a medley of lots of conserts but I don´t have the originals.
Just got DVDA rendered mpegs with AC3 audio
Problem is the AC3 audiofiles - they will not open in Vegas (9e/64)
I have searched and searched the forum on this subjct in vain.
I guess I have to decompress the AC3 files to wav - but with what program?

Method 1 (faster):
Mux the AC3 file to a transport stream using TSMuxer.

Method 2:
Open the AC3 file in DVDA.
Prepare as if a normal DVD.
The VOB file containing the audio will open in Vegas.
