edit file length in DVDA?

I'm wondering if it's possible to render only a portion of a video file using DVDA? I've tried using the "set in" "set out" buttons to select a portion of my file, but the resulting total file size for the inal DVD is the same as it would have been had I rendered the entire file...

Is there a way to only render, or select a portion of a file for processing?

Thanks.

Why not simply render the material directly from Vegas?

Why?
Because Vegas have no smart MPEG editing
So, DVDArc too :(

Try one of these:

Womble products
TMPGEnc
VideoReDo

These are designed to edit MPEGs. Vegas and DVDA are not.
