Sounds like you either docked it somewhere or moved it off the screen. You can always restart Vegas while holding down CTRL-SHIFT and everything will be reset back to default.

I have done that as well but it is still gone.It looks something is flying down hiding behind the menu. But if I close down all the windows ( exept the timeline) it is still gone...even if it goes back to default itr is gone.I cant believe this.

Try "alt 9" and see what happens.

If you aren't using your maximum screen resolution, change it to a higher resolution and you will probably find the media box of on it's own. Just drag it back then reset the resolution.

If you're feeling a little adventurous, try this:
http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=12&MessageID=286172
It describes using Alt-spacebar to bring up the "move window" menu.

Until you get the little green filmstrip icon back, you can also right click on the event and select Edit Generated Media.

Thanx
I could fish it up with alt space bar.
Obviously - you can run but not hide...
