Edit with Xvid avi media

Vegas 5.0 won't let me edit with Xvid compressed AVI files, but it does for divx and 3ivx. I don't see why it doesn't have capability to do that if they can edit files compressed by other codecs.

If there is way around for me to edit Xvid compressed files using Vegas, please share with me. Thanks in advance.

Do a search for Xvid, you'll find several dozen posts and suggestions.

oops, I didn't notice Next button on the search. Sorry.
I guess I will have to find this DV codec instead and work with it...
