I worked on some stuff for Nu Metro yesterday and got the trailer full HD
The stuff that I saw was awesome the camera work had so much feeling and beautifully filmed
Even people who came into the studio and have no interest in film were amazed

Even only for a few seconds Then off to go chomp on popcorn and watch it

I think I should go to an art gallery with a box of popcorn spilling half on the floor and before I’ve even left have forgotten who the artists were

all well and good, but shooting over 450 hours of material - no wonder they felt it necessary to make a video of the editing....

at that shooting ratio every scene must be a masterpiece!

i shall wait and see....

Editing aside i find it fascinating how some DP absolutely rock in one environment while in another they fall apart like a soggy wonder bread. It's true of the DP on this film too. All the daylight shots look spectacular while the night exterior shots look like a cheap soap opera.

I haven't seen this film, but so far as I remember Mandy Walker handled the interiors well in Lantana. Perhaps Baz Luhrmann had an influence on the look (I would think so!).
