Editing multi cam tracks Vegas Pro 14

Hello All.

I am new to Vegas Pro 14.

I have created a multi cam track from three audio-synched clips.

I would now like to edit the track and am having difficulty. For example if I try to split the track and delete a portion, the entire track is deleted.

I also want to color correct/brighten each original clip separately. Is this possible?

Do I have to first render the multi cam project and then perform the manipulations?

Guidance would be most appreciated.

Russ

Splitting an event and deleting a portion will not delete the track. This leads me to believe you are mixing up some terms in describing what the problem is.

In Vegas, media on the timeline are "events" not clips, and tracks are horizontal areas of the timeline which can contain multiple "events" that can be modified as a group or separately. So you may adjust the color at "track" level or at "event" level or even at the "media" level. Understanding all this is important. There are numerous tutorials on the basics of Vegas.

If you can use screen shots to show us your "Multi Cam Track" in Vegas that might help.

Thanks for your reply.

I will study the appropriate terminologies for sure and repost a screenshot when I can.

Are you enabling multi-camera edit mode after you create the multicam clip? If you do, you should see each camera angle at the same time in your preview window, and you'll be able to click on the one you want while playing to call up that clip. To do a fade, hold control while clicking.
