Editing multicamera with master audio track

I got my multicamera editing finally working, but now I'm faced with a new dilemma. I have a master audio track for this project, which was recorded on a separate audio device. I used this track to align the video tracks and it will be the audio that used for the final rendering.

After creating clips from different takes, if I go back and adjust the start or end of a clip the audio gets out of sync (or is it the video getting out of sync with the audio?). This seems odd, as I expected the video to not change in length or get out of sync with the audio when adjusting clips. I have ripple turned on.

Vegas 16 Suite, GTX 1050Ti, Windows 10 Pro

If you adjust the length of a clip with ripple on, then the video events following will ripple, but if your audio is all one event, it will not move.

But isn't that what I want? If I turn off ripple and adjust a clip length I end up with no video or a cross fade.

I got the inpression you make edits after you finished the the multicamera editing.
That is possible but you did it the right way?

yes, but if your audio is in sync and you move a scene without the audio moving, then...

If you adjust a scene (shorten or lengthen), you need to split the audio at that point and allow it to move with the video.

Easier is then to groupe the audio and the video first before you make those splits @Former user means, but I don't think it is not what OP wants (split and move the audio).

Thanks for all the replies. I figured it out. What I was attempting was to adjust the take clips length. I was doing a simple click on the border between the clips and moving forward or backwards. What I needed to do was do Ctrl+Alt then left click. This does an Adjust Adjacent Clip, which seem to do the trick. It would be nice if the Vegas help documents spelled this out clearly in the Multicamera Editing section. I had to learn this by watching a tutorial I found on YouTube.

You didn't explain that was what you were trying to do, but yes, that is the correct way to adjust edit points without changing sync. Glad you figured it out. I look thru the help files every once in a while to remind myself of shortcuts and procedures that I don't use every day.
