Editing Music

My daughter just got a CD for her birthday. The music is brilliant, but one song uses a word she is not allowed to use several times. What is the best audio plug-in for me to fog out short bits of this song so that it is still listenable?

Seems like you could use any software that will edit audio. If all I had were Vegas, I'd figure out a way to use Vegas.

Maybe grab a different word , split out the naughty ones, and paste in the 'replacement word, tweaking a little crossfading and level -matching.

Unfortunately you will lose the backing music too, or you could get clever and find an equivalent music-only phrase that is compatible and paste that in.

Or run the offending section thru a vocal remover (google for freebie or inexpensive plugins, unless yo have Sound Forge Audio Studio which includes one), and paste that bit in, lining up the music to be seamless.
