Editing Pal 25p with NTSC 30p

I did some searches already and am still confused about working with Pal and NTSC together in a project. I am editing a documentary that was shot on a PAL DVX100A at 25p and on a NTSC GL2 in frame mode 30p. The final output will be to an NTSC DVD.

What are some of the issues I will have when rendering the mixed frame rates and what is the optimal final frame rate?

Thanks in advance.

Well for NTSC DVD you're kind of stuck with 60i, Vegas should do a good job of converting the 25p to 30p, I'd render the 25p to 30p using Vegas set to Best and de-interlace set to Merge.
Then bring all the footage into a 30p project and encode to 60i

This will preserve the progressive look of the footage I think.

Needless to say do a test on a small section of the 25p and 30p footage, preferably ones with fast motion.

I have now tested many different settings and it seems that simply rendering from 25p to NTSC 29.97 lower field first works fine. There is a very slight haze that occurs that can be countered using Sharpen set at .100 . The progressive look is maintained also. This is all viewed on a computer monitor.

I guess I should try buring some clips to a DVD and check them on a TV.
