i made the mistake of using cd architect 5 as an editor thinking i could create a new wave file (using save as image) with current resolution (48k/24bit) if i removed the dither plug-in. i didn't realize cd architect 5 would render it to 44.1k/16bit anyway. i have some elaborate crossfades (piecing together wave files, etc.) for dvd audio and it was easier to do in cd architect 5 than sound forge 6. now i own vegas 4 & could do it in that (didn't own it when i started this project or i wouldn't have this problem now). what i'm wondering is this:
1. is there a workaround that anyone knows of to retain the sample/bit rate of 48k/24bit in an image (.wav) made by cd architect 5?
2. is there a way to import a cd architect 5 project into vegas 4 (tried, get 'file is an unsupported format' error)?
3. am i hosed & will have to deal with starting this project from scratch in vegas 4?
any help is appreciated!
