Editing Split Clip

TomG wrote on 7/21/2003, 8:14 AM
I have an .avi which was edited in V4 and contains many splits. I would like to apply the "reduce interlace flicker" to all the splits on the timeline. Is there a way to do this or do I have to change the properties of each split on the timeline? I did try to select all the events on the TL but, of course, I couldn't change the properties.

Thanks,

TomG

Not sure how long the video you have is...but here is a thought....

Render the file to a new file.
Open a blank project and insert the newly rendered file.
Make your modification to the new file.
Render....and season to taste.

I'm sure there is a way you can make this modification to the "original"...but I'm 3 hours from finishing a render that has been rendering for 18 hours, so I don't want to go checking around in VV just yet.

There's a script written for it but I don't have the link. If you Search(at the top of this page) for "interlace" under the Vegas-Scripts forum I'm sure you'll find it (and a bunch of others you may or may not know about).

Thanks, Randy. Found the script in the Scripts Forum (forgot that it even existed!!!) and it works fine.

Upon looking at it, I don't know if I could ever write a script!!!!!!

It was tough enough for me just to figure out how to use it : )
Thank goodness we are surrounded by all of our genius friends here.

If that's the only change you've made to the event, you could copy (CRTL/C) it and Paste Event Attributes on the others, but that's only sightly less work than turning on Redude Interlace Flicker for each one.
