Editing Stream into DVD

Guys,
I am using wirecast to record to disk from two Panny HD cams. I realize the impact of degredation on the encoding but this is an event where time trumps video quality (within reason).

I have output choices of FLV, AVI, MP4.

Which of thse should I capture to, for use in post with Vegas?

Thanks for any wisdom shared,
Rob

FLV is not an option as Vegas doesn't support it.
What options do you have for AVI & MP4 (size, frame rate, codec, etc)?

AVI defaults (is changeable) to 320x240, 29.97fps, 5second key frames, bit rate 1372k, buffer 5seconds.

MPG4 defaults to the same.

All setings are customizeable. My cams are Panny HD's so I hope to capture widescreen.

Thanks for any insight.
