editing text media

sony vegas 9 question i try to edit my text on my videos,this is what i do. 1. i insert text media. 2.i right click the generated media box. 3.i click "edit generated media" but the window doesnt show up for me to edit the text. what do i do???

I'm not sure I fully understand .. but .. I don't see why you have to "right click the generated media box" .. by that I assume you mean the generated media *icon* at the top right of the text event on your timeline.

When you first insert, or drag that text box on to the time line .. that window (to edit the text) should show up automatically. If it's not showing up at that point, then I can see it not showing up when you select "edit generated media" I don't know *why* it's not showing up. Maybe you need to re-set everything to default values?
