That's the beauty of Vegas, it will run on pretty much anything. I've had good luck with Dell laptops, but get whatever you want. Just make sure it has a Firewire port, an adequate amount of RAM (512 meg minimum) and a relatively large hard drive.

I myself just maxed out my little Dell D400 with 2GB RAM and Vegas is blazingly fast. I had more or less given up on the Adobe Bloatware that requires dual Xeons and 4GB RAM to edit efficiently. I still use a Generic desktop I built with an Intel 845WN MoBo and 1GB PC133 SD RAM and Vegas smokes on that machine as well.

I just need to get use to the Vegas interface, but I think I am going to put my Adobe Pro video collection up for sale on ebay...

I have a toshiba Satellite with 17 inch wide screen. 2.8gig P4 w/HT. It supposedly supports dual monitors...I'm anxious to try that. I have a new 5400RPM 60gig internal HD and a USB 2.0 external. I have one firewire port, and 4USB.

It's been a really good system. Only issue has been the recent HD replacement.
