No standard edl export in Vegas 3.

If you import a CMX 3600 or Sony 9100 list into Vegas, you can recapture the missing media from DV tape.

Thanks for the infos.

But how do you import a CMX 3600 or Sony 9100 list into Vegas?

I saved a CMX3600.txt EDL file on my other NLE. Next, in Vegas, I file>open the file and I get a menu selection which include "recapture media" but the selection is grayed out so I cannot tell the attached Sony PD150 to start digitizing the first of four tapes.

To verify things were actually working, I went to advanced capture, marked an in and an out-point and digitized it flawlessly.

I'm stumped. I've of course looked in the manual on page 188 for the section on EDL, and have done a search here on the forum, ideas anybody? Thanks.

PS - this software is magnificent . . . I am very happy at this stage for having gone to Vegas Video 3.0 for a software NLE - very impressive. Special thanks to David Jon Devoucoux, the pal who pointed me in this direction, good call David!

what did you use to generate the edl in the first place?
