I am looking for a quicker way to accomplish a repetitive task:
There are two video events next to each other. I want to add (let's say) 00:00:02 seconds cross fade transition between the two. Now I use this method: I grab the left ones edge with mouse and pull it right 1 second, and then the right one and pull left 1 second. This is fine, and that is how I want the end result looks like. (Sometimes it is hard to grab the exact border of the event, but anyway.)
But is there any quicker way to do this? Eg. select a loop region around the events border, and it become the transition. Or with a special edit tool. Or with anything like that.
It is important that both events should be made bigger (1-1 second each), not just one of them to the other. Because of audio synchronization issues the overall length should be exactly the same as the length of the two events without the transition. Both event is from a longer media, so there are video frames to use for the transition, it is not an issue. Maybe a keyboard shortcut instead the to grabbing would make it a bit easier.
Thanks for any suggestion, a small idea to make it a bit more effective can be huge time saving for me, as I have to make this happen zillion times.
I am using Movie Studio Platinum 16 / Win10.
