I'm afraid I'm finding a heap of bugs in Vegas 10 having just upgraded from 7. I'm testing on two quite different machines so the bugs I'm finding aren't system dependent, the OS for both is Win 7 64 bit (I'm using Vegas 32 bit).
First of all in a surround project I can't add any effects at all including its own surround effects, such as Wave Hammer on the Master. It's fine for individual channels or a bus.
Secondly with my Saffire Pro 24, when Vegas starts, even though I've selected the Saffire's asio driver, it seems to still initialise the generic low latency ASIO driver which prevents the Saffire from playing until I go back into the Audio Device settings and select the Saffire again. The time line just refuses to play and this is not an issue I've ever had on Vegas 7.
In general the surround seems particularly messed up. Another fun bug is trying to set the surround outputs. If you do this on the master channel, it randomly changes the output selected after you've chosen it if you start a project where you haven't selected the outputs through the options settings. In version 7 you could freely change the outputs during a project.
Another issue with surround is that the surround panner randomly disappears, leaving just a grey box. This may be a graphics driver issue but it's again not something I've seen on version 7 in my years of using it.
I'm also getting many crashes, which I'll try and keep a record of.
Finally, not a bug but a desperate plea, when is Vegas going to allow for true surround effects? I love Vegas but even though you can apply third party surround effects to a track, it only processes the first two channels (i.e. the front channels). Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I've never been able to insert a surround effect other than the three that come with Vegas and have them working in surround. Of course I can't test what happens if you put say Reaktor Surround on the master output, because I can't put any effects on the master surround output!
