Efficient V4 render for DVDA

I have some test clips I've been burning to DVD following rendering in Vegas 4. I've done this a number of times with other software, but have switched to DVDA. (I have the full combo package.)

Following the documentation, I went to render to one of the DVDA templates. However, those all appear to be video only streams. It was late last night and I couldn't find any confirmation in Help. In order to avoid re-encoding/transcoding when creating the DVD, do I render the video and audio separately? Since I wanted to get it done last night (this is just for preview) I rendered to MPEG2 and an audio+video stream and will let DVDA transcode this time.

If a separate render of audio and video is necessary, what is the audio format template the pros would recommend for standard stereo audio. (Dolby 5.1 is also slated for a future project.)

Thanks much
