Eh? Video White Card for . .White Balance?

Eh? Am I correct in thinking that it would be a real neat idea to "video" a balancing white card and THEN use this as a CC reference within Vegas? I do use the WB presets in my camera - but just to get that extra clarity/uniformity in my work, would this be a valuable thing to do? Hell. I may have asked this before and forgotten . . ?

Used to do this a lot in still photography although back then it was an 18% grey card. If you were doing it full on a color wedge was the go.

Yes, that would work when you wanted the colors to be "correct" as balanced to white. However, what would you do when you wanted to capture the colors at sunrise or sunset, for example? Just a thought.
