Why thank you very much for the advert. I don't recognize you by your screen name, but it sounds like I "know" you . . . right? Where should I send the check?:-)

As a small timer trying to get a fairly new production business going, I was very pleased when Boris let me know they were going to use my comments as a user story. I'm horrible at self-promotion and at promotion generally, so it's great when someone else does the dirty work for you.

Anyway, thanks for the kind comments, Mom.:-)

Being a beta tester can also help - nudge nudge wink wink.

Congrats though! Very nice to see your name in a positive light isn't it? (Not to imply you have only seen your name in a negative light) I know you've been helpful to me.

Thanks for the link. Read the article and really like Elizabeth's approach to IT. It is there as a tool and it is very very obvious that her creativity "shines" through . . . "May You Live Long & Prosper" . . . great stuff!

Best regards,

Grazie

Ah, very true. Hey you have to sieze opportunities wherever you can.:-)

BTW, I never did go fish out that old thread we were part of, but I did install the release version of RED 3GL after we had that exchange. I, too, have no registry entries for the location of Vegas plugins. But much more surprising thing to me is that there is now only one "big" dll apparently (plus the VVTR and VVFL "little" ones) whereas I always had a separate one for the Premiere plugin version and for the Vegas plugin version during testing. So beta testing will obviously get you only so far in understanding any of this stuff.:-)

I trust it is a moot issue for you, though, since IIRC you were able to get RED and all of its BCC filters to show up in the demo of the Vegas plugin version. How did you end up liking the demo?

Thanks to Grazie and Spot for the kind words.

Spot, I also visit the DMN forum almost daily. I'm very, very pleased with the quality of the peer support that Vegas enjoys. My Canopus hardware is gathering dust because I just don't want to edit with Premiere anymore (and can't see spending precious $ to upgrade to Premiere Pro after just acquiring Vegas 4+DVD this year). At any rate, yours is a valuable forum to me as a Vegas user.:-)
