Elph rejection! Problems with canon avi codec

Hi, everyone. I have just bought a canon sd200 digital elph mainly because I heard it makes an acceptable shirt pocket camcorder. This is true, the 30fps video looks great, with a saturated "kodachrome super 8 look" Much to my frustration Vegas 6 will only open it as a wave file - no video! What to do?

Try the MJPEG codec from jetdv's site.

Got the same problem with the G2. And others here on the forum with different Powershot units.
I wrote Canon to ask 'em why the hell for the price we pay for these cameras they didn't provide consumers with the proper codec to install on their computer and never got a decent answer.
Apart from that, I was very satisfied with my G2... Until I bought a Nikon D70s last month, hee hee!
