You click the name of the user (for example, Posted by: JoeCool), which will take you to all the posts that person has submitted. At the top you'll find the email address they are logged in with.

I think that may be an admin-only feature, JD. I don't see email links, just a web site, and I do have an address registered. Or am I blind?

I usually just request they e-mail ME and leave an e-mail address.

Yeah, I dont think that we (meaning as users) have access to this function. I was going to ask this very same question a few seconds ago. Its a good thing i used the search function otherwise i would have looked pretty stupid.

It is indeed admin only. We hid email addresses about a year ago because many users wished to stay more anonymous.

Wouldn't it be smarter to make it an option if the user wanted his email address hidden or not?

While we're on the topic, any thought ever given to updating the forum software? SoFo could do MUCH better. Many more feature rich forums on the web that for example allow easily embedded HTML and uploading of graphics, plus custom icons for users. Consider the products SoFo sells, would seem appropriate to me.

Hmmmm. I've seen a lot of these types of forums and my usual reaction is "how do i shut that off?" I can see the advantage of uploading a graphic for the purpose of illustrating the discussion. I do this a lot by posting the graphic on my web server and placing a link to it in my message in here. However, most graphical forums i visit seem to be overrun with eye candy or frivolous graphics that slow the loading process to a crawl. This forum is primarily for communicating ideas written in text and i feel it should remain as close to that as possible.

Not everyone has the server resources you have. Many questions/ answers/illustrations beg to be "seen" rather than just described.

I don't think this is the type of forum where many if any would get carried away with frivolous eye candy graphics embedded in their posts.

At the very least now that Sony should be taking over soon they could/should devote some much needed web resources to making the resources available from SoFo site or whatever it ends up getting called much more robost. In other words for Sony to spent a thousand or two on bandwidth per month supporting their new SoFo products would be money well spent I would think and chump change for Sony. Considering a lot would SEE what Vegas go do, which would lead to more downloading the demo, which would lead to more sales, etc.. might be worth trying.
