Empty Tracks

I've been having a problem with CDA 5.0. I just received the program a few days ago and no matter how I try it seems that only the first three tracks will actually burn; everything after the third track is empty. The TOC lists all tracks whether it 10 or 15 or whatever with their correct times and etc., but there is actually nothing after the third track. The burning process occurs normally, there are no error messages, the buffer remains at 99% throughout the burn, and the disc is reported as successfully burned. However, I've got about eight coasters that tell me it ain't so. Can anyone suggest anything I might try? Thanks.

How bizarre. What player(s) have you tried them on ?

First I tried to play them on the drive that burned them, a Pioneer 104 CD-R/DVD-R drive, next I tried the other CD ROM drive, whatever it is, and then I tried the discs on a little Panasonic Boom Box: I had the same result in all cases. If I enter the disc with Explorer I can see that the all the files are the appropriate sizes but under no circumstances will any track past #3 play, although tracks 1 to 3 play fine. It is bizzare; I don't even know where to start looking to find out out what's wrong.

Try burning at a lower speed ?

Bingo! That worked, but I had to go down to X2 to get a successful burn. This will be awkward if I can't burn at greater than X2.

It obviously *should* work at faster than that. I'd guess that your writer may be a little non-conforming, what with the DVD stuff in there and all ....
