Encoding Advice?

I have 16 SD educational clips that our school district wants to make available on their website. Each clip is 10 to 15 minutes in length. In addition to viewing, the clips will be made available for download.

The webmaster knows less than I do about the way to go here.

I'm thinking WMV at 320x240/1Mbps. Teachers throughout district will be viewing the clips, so they need to be universal.

Because this is something I seldom do, brilliant ideas and opinions are desparately needed!

Thanks!

WMV and MOV
Give them all a choice.

Or Flash (h.264), which is widely supported all current OS / Browser combinations.

Or, better yet, put it on YouTube and embed a link to each on your site.

Forget RM, which is a dead duck floating belly up in the pond.
