encoding for DVD Studio Pro

Anybody know how to get the MainConcept MPEG streams to be readable by DVD Studio Pro on Macs? I didn't think it would be that much of an issue, but they won't import. Please, no crap about using Macs. We all are dealing with the tools we have to use.

It's pretty straight forward - set it up and save as a template. Here's what I do:

1) On Render As file:
- choose "Save AS type" MainConcept MPEG-2
- Click on Custom... button
2) On Custom Template : Video tab
- Check "Include video stream"
3) On Custom Template : Audio tab
- Uncheck "Include audio stream"
4) On Custom Template : System tab
- Check "Save as separat elementary streams

Now type a new name in the Template field (I use miniMac) and click the save icon. Click on OK; Proceed with rendering as usual.

This makes a file with .m2v suffix.

You will also need to render the file again as Dolby Digital AC-3

The .ac3 and .m2v files will then import into DVD Studio Pro 3.

BTW, I picked up DVD SP3 because of the scripting capability and use a Mac Mini to build the dvd. All the heavy lifting is done by Vegas 6.
