That option depends on the Vegas Program version you are using and the used codec.

Goto advanced rendering where you can choose, f.i. this one where you have the choice between more than one. I show you my choices

Your window is different from me, and I don't have the "encode mode" option

That option depends on the Vegas Program version you are using and the used codec.

You show here the old Sony AVC codec that do not have those options and therefore you have a different window. Look after the codecs in the list of advanced rendering to find the one who have that option.
@Marco. does mean not the rendering option but the preview help of a GPU in an Options setting.

 

I'm using the Vegas Movie Studio 17, build 143. Where can I find the AVC codec or a update to a newer version?
