Encoding question

ccliffy wrote on 3/24/2005, 10:29 AM
I am using DVD Arch Studio bundled w/Movie Studio (ver 2)
I have 2 .mp2 fies totalling 2.8 GB and just want to author a DVD w/menus using these files.

How can insure there is no loss of either video or audio quality.

When I Prepare DVD it seems that audio needed to be compressed.

Far as I know DVDA Studio will only produce a DVD with PCM (WAV) audio. So, if the audio in your file is anything else, and I'm guessing it's in MPEG format, DVDA Studio will need to re-encode it.

So, your option to avoid re-compressing is to not use MPEG audio.
