Encore vs. DVD arch

Ok so I purchased Encore BUT it is pretty buggy. I wish someone would look at all the DVD auth apps and make one that works that does not cost 25K!
I guess I could go to DVD SP but I hate giving Steve Jobs more money!

Encore has all the features I need but it is still wierd how some things work.
I still have Spruce Virtuoso and use that 97% of the time anyway.
If DVD arch could provide end actions and navigation like Virtuoso I would use it more. Hello is anyone from Sony listening?

Wish list for DVD Arch
1.) End Actions
2.) Better navagation tools.
3.) DVD-9 support
4.) CSS & Macrovision

Thanks

I humbly suggest doing what I'm doing... WAIT for the next version of DVD-A. Based on SoFo's record I can practically gurantee it will address and fix many of the issues raised as far as it not doing at all or not doing well what many of us have pointed out. Because one of the nice things about the development team is they LISTEN and I mean really listen to their customers.

Then i do hope they took in consideration the different bugs such as the highlight one which has been explained for 6 months.

By the way, still no clue about the next release date ?

I'm not patient, i know ;)

The last thing some Sony person said was that the full product line was going to be rebranded meaning have the Sony name as opposed to Sonic Foundy. With that coming soon. They may (underscore may) make some minor bug fixes at the time (my opinion) but as far as the next release I doubt it will be out before Spring, if then.

I think we're all impatient waiting for it because I expect much of what's been talked about and some surprises probably will be included. ;-)

I base that only on pure speculation. Vegas 4 had some hefty upgrades, like all the improved color correction tools. So I do expect a major upgrade not just a face lift once the next version is released. But again, what do I know. I'm just guessing like everyone else.

Just so you don't get your hopes too high CSS and macrovision cannot be applied to DVD recordable media, only to pressed media.
