End action help please

I have 8 titles on the menu in DVDAS 3.0a. After the 1st clip plays, i want to have the next title highlighted ready to play, BUT not to play. i can't get this to happen, either it plays when i have the next title selected, or when i leave Most Recent Menu selected, it ALWAYS returns to the very first chapter. It seems there is another selection missing--what to do, either play or hold.

How can i do this? or maybe i can't in DVDS--maybe i need DVDA.

rondi,

Yes, you can do this with DVDA Studio. You want your end item to link to the *menu* name -- not the media you want selected. If you link to the media (button), it will jump right to playing it. If you link to the menu, you can then specify what button you want selected. Don't use the "most recent menu" option -- specifically select the menu by name.

For the End Action, set the following properties:

Command: Link

Destination: select the *menu* you want to go to -- not the media/button

Destination Item: Start? Loop? Only matters if you have video background or video buttons, I think (I haven't used this...)

Destination Button: The button you want selected on that menu.

I think that will do what you're asking.

ty Tim--
this is what i want, at least on the Preview screen. I had previously tried all the things you mentioned, except:
Destination--->Main Menu and
Destination Button--> My next title. Those were the key.

thanks again,
ron
