End action on button

Is there any way, apart from the described below, to address some "end action" when a user clicks a link - e.g. to get a sound.

One way to do this is to add a "movie" that is a copy of the present menu (with a sound) with a short duration that is called upon when the user clicks a menu. This movie then has an End Action to go to another movie.

This is not very clean and "neat". It will e.g. not work if you have a movie as a background. A still would work, but not a movie.

Is there some other way do to it?

For an audio hint when a button's selected or activated, I think simply using looping video with BOV & angles would be out because you need just a brief audio blurp, though it would be ideal for maintaining visual continuity. I'd *guess* that you might be able to include scripting to set a variable, jump angles for a set duration, then jump to your title -- but I'm far from expert on scripting.

Using a transition video might have a noticeable delay, though it can & does work with motion backgrounds if you're careful in your design -- Many I've seen relay on a background with motion in the center, & transition that background [If I remember correctly, as with the 2nd Harry Potter DVD].

Maybe less noticeable would be to jump to another menu page? Some sort of video transition [maybe something as simple as a brief button flare] could hopefully distract the viewer from any loss of video background continuity.
