End of movie??

I jsut assumed when I Made a movie that the end of it was the end of my media...but when I go to render a movie it seems that is rendering a few minutes past where my media stops. I know this is probably a dopey question, but is ther a way to say "this is the end"? I do not want to render empty space.

Check that you haven't left a clip, probably a very short one, on the time line. Previewing carries on until you stop it, but rendering finishes at the end of the last clip.
