Yes. The correct serial number displays in the "about" screen as well. Also, clicked "register" again. It went out (again) to the Sony servers. All OK. Restarted VMS...Same thing happens...Not a huge issue, just strange.
Try running VMS as Administrator to register, see if that helps. To do this, navigate to VMS in the Start menu, and right click to select "Run as administrator" from the context menu. Be sure to exit VMS right after you've registered so you don't create any new projects associated with the Administrator account.
Then run VMS normally and see if the problem is fixed.
Vista HP 32. Even though I am actually the admin of the computer, I tried the potential fix....Sadly, it didn't work (although the instructions were spot on!). It says it was registered after going to register the software. But further start-ups still prompt for the EULA. The registered software shows up in the "My Account" on the Sony webpage too. I would imagine that would also show that the software registration went well too.
Unless there are other suggestions, I guess I'll put up with it or maybe try an uninstall/reinstall).
You're not alone. I'm having the same problem with VMS11P. I was able to fix it temorarily by uninstalling/reinstalling the software and reregistering, but it has come back and asks me to agree to the EULA every time I run the software. If you find a solution, please share it with the rest of us. I may open a support ticket eventually, but for now I'll just put up with it.
VMS10P, which is still installed on the same machine, does not have this problem so I would guess it is a bug in VMS11.
Yes, my profile shows my current computer. The VMS11P Help menu shows an option to "Register Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum" and when I click it, I get the EULA screen again. After I click "AGREE", it goes through the registration process to activate the software and thanks me for registering my software, but the help menu still shows the option to register the software.
I have a bad feeling that, in another week (30 days from installation), it is going to tell me that I cannot use the software because my trial has expired even though it is NOT a trial.
Maybe I will get the tech support ticket opened up so I won't have to wait too long for assistance if my fears become a reality.
