endless preview playback

Can anybody help with this minor annoyance? When playing video in the preview window, why does the cursor not stop when it reaches the end of the project? Instead, it carries on happily sailing away into the distance playing absolutely nothing at all until the stop button is pressed.

It's not a huge issue, but I don't understand why this happens, Surely it would be more sensible to behave as though the stop button had been pressed when reaching the end. Or have I missed something? Any Ideas?

I've always found that weird too. It usually does stop eventually, a couple of minutes or so past the end of the last event.

Speaking of the last event, click the "move to end of project" button and see where that lands you. It's possible you've got a tiny sliver of an event stuck way down the timeline somewhere and playback is continuing until it's past that event.

I have never let it continue long enough to find out if it does eventually stop, but no, there is nothing further down the line that it's heading for. This behaviour also occured in videofactory 2.0. I had hoped that upgrading to VMS would cure it, but no such luck.

Ah well, thanks for the reply anyway.
