Click your mouse in the text field and it works like any WP. You can select it and delete or backspace over it. To get to the interface, click the top icon in the event or right click on it and choose the Edit Media option.

I dont see any of that , thats why im kinda lost .. Ok i grab a CREDIT ROLL and drag and drop it into the Interface.... Then it automatically pop's up a BOX called VIDEO EVENT FX and i see where you can create Keyframes, and where it says Credit Roll , but i cant Click on it like in a WP or anything...

I see what you mean. I just looked at that and it threw me for a minute
too.

In the Video Media Generator screen that you see for the credit roll there
is a Credits Text: box. It has several items listed as samples.
You can click on the icon on the left to choose which type of text you
want to use for that line. To edit the line, double click on the text blank
to the right of the icon. The text that is there gets highlighted. Simply
type over it to change it.

If you click on the blank you can add more lines.
If you single click on any line's text box, the entire box gets highlighted
and you can press the [Delete] key to delete the line.

For a simple Text event it's a lot simpler. You do see a box very much
like notepad to type in.

I just select all those header samples and hit DELete.

Copy your text from notepad, then on the last sample box paste (ctrl-v).

The new credit roll feature is very powerful, I'd read up on it in the manual to learn all it can do.

Avenger, do you see a screen that looks anything at all like this when
you try to add a credit roll?

If not, please explain what's different. Is it possible that you have your
screen resolution set low (my printscreen shows 1280x1024 resolution)
and there isn't room enough on your screen to show the whole dialog
box?
Avenger wrote on 1/5/2002, 8:27 PM
Ill try the resolution Approach... If it doest work ill post a screen shot for all to look at!!
Avenger wrote on 1/5/2002, 8:31 PM
Chienworks that was the whole problem..I had to use a Higher resolution in order to open the Video Media Generator enought o see the rest of the Features...Thank's aGain

Video editing software needs LOTS of screen real-estate. I tried running
both Video Factory and Vegas at 1024x768 resolution and there just
wasn't enough room to see everything. I've got a 17" monitor now and
run at 1280x1024 and that's just barely enough to be functional. When
i get a 19" monitor soon i'll be going to 1600x1200 and will be able to
stretch out a bit and get comfy. ;)

VV works great on a dual monitor system. Instead of single 19", get a 2nd 17" and Matrox G450 dualhead video card -total cost for both about $250. 2 19" even better!

All it takes is money...

Exactly! Take a look at our thread about dual (or more) monitors ...
