Entering Width & Height in Pan/Crop Probs?

I have a question that might just be a result of me misunderstanding a core component of VV/NLE's/video. I was playing around with the Pan/Crop window last night and tried to enter my own numeric value for the height. Whenever I entered the value, it would change to a a higher value. That is, if I entered 1400 for example, it gave me 1580 or the like when I hit enter. I would have to enter a lower number than desired to get to my desired number. I have never paid much attention to the numbers before because I did it by sight by "dragging the box." So, this may have always been normal. However, is this correct behavior and I am missing something fundamental or is this a problem? Thanks!

Thanks JL, I looked, but evidently did not look hard enough for a past report of this bug in the forums. When I didn't find any mention of it right away, I figured that I was missing something very fundamental with V5. Thanks!
