I don't know if this is the most efficient way to do this, but this is how I accomplish it.
You can Do a "Duplicate Track" and it copies everything to a track just below itself, audio and envelopes. If you just want the envelopes you can select the audio and delete and just the envelopes will be left. You have to make sure that "Lock evelopes to audio" is not enabled, because they will delete with the audio if it is.

For internal syncing, some people use the "Virtual Midi router", which is located in the downloads section with Vegas and Acid I believe. I can't tell you much more than this, because I've never used it.

Absolutely.

Make a time selection (loop region) around the track(s) that you want to copy the envelopes from. Click the 'Envelope Edit Tool' from your toolbar. It is located just to the right of the Normal Edit Tool. Left click on the envelope bar that you want to copy. You should see the evelope nodes turn white. Click ctrl+c to copy the envelopes, left click on the track you want to copy the envelopes to, then do a ctrl+v to paste them on. The exact build of the envelope will be placed on the new track starting from the position of your cursor. This can be done for effect/volume/pan/composition/velocity envelopes in Vegas.

Oops. I forgot to mention the Virtual Midi Router. You can download that utility here:

Once you have it all setup (follow the readme in the zip file to install in on your machine) let us know and we'll help you get it configured to sync correctly.

Try renaming the file to VMR.zip, then opening it with WinZip. Does that work for you? If you get an error message when you try to open the file with WinZip, then you most likely have saved a webpage instead of the intended download file and you will need to download it agian.

Hi GG,

Yes, there is an irratic bug found somewhere in the Microsoft Internet Explorer that causes this kind of problem with our http server (I think?). If you have problems grabbing files over the http server, try our ftp site instead. All the updates are there as well, but not some of the utilities (like the VMR). You can get there here:
