equipment question

Hi fellow Vegas Users: My wife and I recently started a small business in which we create "memory montages" and burn them to DVD for our customers. We would also like to be able take that DVD and record it to VHS tape. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments on professional level VHS recorders? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
EEJ

I bought several used Panasonic VHS duplicators (Model 8610, I think) on ebay for less than $50 each. They do all I need. But if you go that route, you may want to get several, so you'll have one for parts. You can sometimes find the heads for them on ebay, too, for around $15 to $20 each (the heads are the first thing to go). I get a pretty good quality tape with this, and I feel I saved several thousand bucks.

At work we've transfered DVCPro tapes onto SVHS/VHS and the quality of a (brand new) VHS looks excelent. Almost as good as the DVCPro. Look on e-bay though for SVHS broadcast/record decs. Make sure you ask how many hours are on them BEFORE you bid. Don't wanna get screwed!

I had a pretty nice SVHS recorder - paid about $120 for it, about a year ago.
After it got fried by lighting, i went to find a replacement.

Electronic stores aren't much for "hi fi" VCRs any more.. everything is DVD now so it was difficult to even find a VCR (with S-video inputs)... I ended up buying a $60 sony and it works JUST fine... (no s-video input, just use the RCA inputs) but.. nobody who only has a VCR is going to notice any difference in video quality (so i say)

- oh, and BEWARE of the SVHS.. sure you can get a better picture with SVHS as opposed to VHS.. but i don't believe standard VCRs will play back tapes recorded in SVHS mode.
