Error 0x8004e715 (message missing)

Or, to be more complete...

Warning: An error ocurred while writing a file. Error 0x8004e715 (message missing))

I've been trying to finish this project for three days now, and every time I 'prepare DVD' I get this error. It never happens in the same place twice, and it -never- gives me any more information as to what in the world's going wrong. I've reinstalled DVD Architect about six times, deleted every registry reference to the program, and done everything short of live animal sacrifice to get it to work... and NOTHING works. The only error message I get when I start the authoring process is that my intro video needs recompression - the rest of the project is 100% DVD spec. (And yes, I've tried authoring without the intro video - same result.) There's more than enough drive space, so it can't be a 'disk full' error. I can't find that message or a reference to it anywhere around here. I'm going mental here...

Anyone?

Make sure you have downloaded and installed DVDA 1.0c (the current version).

Try preparing only (don't burn)- does the prepare process finish?

If you can prepare successufully, now try burning burning what you prepared. If burning is indeed the failure point, what other DVD burning apps do you have installed?

My latest attempt:

Removed DVDA, cleaned every trace (reg keys and everything) of it that I could find from the system.

Reinstalled 1.0c, no problems. Defragged target drive. 100% defragged, 77 gigs free. Started prepare.

Crash.

This time it made it all the way to item 6 of 6, but it crashed. Twice now since reinstalling. The disc gets *really* thrashy right before it dies, so I thought it might be something defragging would solve, but still no luck.

I've been having this problem too. The solution that I'm trying right now is to decrease the number of submenus to nine.

Heres my layout:

Main Menu
--- Menu 1 (submenu under Main Menu)
--- Menu 2 (submenu under Menu 1)
--- Menu 3 (submenu under Menu 2)
--- Menu 4 (submenu under Menu 3)
--- Menu 5 (submenu under Menu 4)
--- Menu 6 (submenu under Menu 5)
--- Menu 7 (submenu under Menu 6)
--- Menu 8 (submenu under Menu 7)
--- Menu 9 (submenu under Menu 8)

It's preparing the DVD right now as I type this. I'll let you know if it was successful.

I'm getting the same "message missing" error while outputting the project to a folder (not while burning). The error occurs during the "preparing" phase of the process. (Rendering appears to proceed normally.)

I only have one submenu in the project.

I read in another thread to try changing the default temp folder, so I'm trying that now and will report back here.
