Error 0x80660008 (message missing) - Does sony vegas not support GPU

Hello, i just purchased vegas pro 22. However, I keep getting this message.Error 0x80660008 (message missing) Does this mean vegas doesnt support my GPU anymore (2070 TI) ? Because when I change the settings to mainconcept AVC instead of NVENC..then it does render but it takes way longer. Help would really be appreciated.

Vegas Pro 23 is not affected by this change from NVIDIA. All other versions are affected.

Probably not, last version (13) of Sony Vegas didn't have NVenc supported rendertemplates, as far as I can remember.

Sorry some new notebook come with the new nvidia drivers for default. And Magix not said that before sell you vegas 22. Some users get a refound from humblebundle if you want try. Also in steam you can get a refound ornany other service except magix.

1). Use Nvidia drivers 581 series
2). Find the now depreciated free Voukoder installer and install Voukoder
3). Buy the newer Voukoder Pro
4). Buy Happy Otter Scripts (and use Render+)

 

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

thanks friend..yeah nvidia messed things up for most programs..i was also using elgato video capturerer but that is also not working anymore due to the driver update..is nvidia even aware of these things?

Nvidia claim they sent out information in 2023 that it was depreciating the older code. Looks like many just ignored the fact and maybe hoped all would be well.

poeh never new that..i guess the devs of sony vegas and others didnt pay attention to it..sucsk either way.
