ERROR: 1603 ocurred during installation

Hello -

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this error message "ERROR: 1603 ocurred during installation" and if anyone may have an explanation/solution to this issue?

I am using Vegas Pro Version 10.0e (64bit) Build 738 on a Windows 7 Ultimate machine.

I thought this sounded familiar, so did a search for 1603.

During installation, did Vegas ask to install NET?
Did you allow it to do so?

I to was having this and solved it using the following website.

To find the right folders to un-lock wait till the installation fails and read the directory beneath the error, you may have to do this a few times to un-lock them all.

You have to remove the locks on the folders once that is done it works

I was trying to upgrading SV11 to Built 521
