Hello, I had tried the procedures with the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables that support (from Magix) recomends) and it didn't work. What worked (the problem is solved) was to install first the "Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0" (that I also possessed, buta trial copy could do) and when installing it aksed for a Windows component (I think it was Framework 3.5) to install the Platinum 11. Windows downloaded and installed the Framework. The installing was fine and after I installed the Movie Studio Platinum 13.0 (64-bit) with no problem. I hope my feedback can help.
